About Me

My name is Kirsten, and I have had a passion for family history since 2nd grade when we were tasked with creating a family tree and interviewing our grandparents. It was quite challenging to spell Czechoslovakia as an 8-year-old! However, my interest in genealogy grew, and I continued to research casually until about 4 years ago when I finally had the time to delve deeper into it.

I made the decision to start a blog for several reasons:

1. I wanted a platform to share the stories of the ancestors I was uncovering during my research.

2. I desired to connect with other family members who share an interest in our family history – both close relatives and possibly distant cousins.

3. I felt a creative urge and believed that writing about my research and sharing it with others was a worthwhile pursuit.
